Individual Lessons for all ages
Musical Directions strives to deliver learning outcomes. We teach adults and children a wide range of instruments and our teachers understand the learning requirements of each individual.
At Musical Directions we recognise everyone has different learning requirements which we take the time to understand, set goals and work towards.
Our teachers provide private, individualised lessons tailored to meet individual needs. They bring great musical knowledge and technical ability to the experience of learning. Many of our Musical Directions teachers perform on a regular basis in the public arena and all are passionate about bringing music into the lives of their students.
Keyboard and Guitar group lessons are conducted for all ages. Lesson times depends on student demand so if you are interested grab a friend and just ask!
Individual lessons are normally 30 minutes long. However according to learning requirements the lesson length may vary and will be discussed.
At Musical Directions we understand everyone is busy so together we work to allocate a lesson time that fits in with your schedule.
Workshops for Parents and Guardians
Musical Directions run information workshops for parents around different musical topics to encourage learning. Communication between the teacher and parent is very important to monitor a child's progress.
There are opportunities to perform at a variety of soirées where family can applaud the progress made and enjoy a wonderful music event!
Music Theory is an important part of learning an instrument and is integrated in a student's lesson. It is a prerequisite for some levels of Music examinations and will be discussed with your teacher.
We work with our students to progress through examinations if that is the direction students want to take their music learning. Striving to complete an examination sets challenging and achievable goals. A progressive developmental program could be beneficial for students who wish to continue on to a VCE Music subject or tertiary study. Talk to us about how Musical Directions can prepare you or your child for these studies.
